I won't swear there is an actual solution. My '18 failed at around 18k miles. Per GM, dealer replaced a portion of the wiring harness. That fix only lasted about a month. Dealer then replaced the shifter assembly. That was about 8k miles ago. So far, so good. Some have reported repeat failures.
