I lost my mucus plug Thursday after I had a membrane sweep on Wednesday. My mucus plug was massive and bloody. Ever since I’ve had this type of discharge.…I had my membrane swept at 10am and was also 2 cm. Lost my mucus plug around 4 pm. Took a nap to rest up for birth. At 7 pm started having contractions with no real pattern which continued all night. By 7 am I noticed them getting closer together. At 10am we decided to go to hospital and was 6 almost 7 cm dialated.No contractions though. Definitely been losing small pieces of musus plug over the last two days since my second membrane sweep. 1st sweep at 37+5 (1cm & "kinda thick") nothing following, not even ...Last week at my 36w appointment I was 4cm dilated. I have an appointment today and was going to request a membrane sweep but I lost my mucus plug this morning. Would you still request a sweep? With my first I never lost the mucus plug but was still very dilated like this time so not sure if I should take it as anything is happening soon or not.
